Ida Elementary

The Feelin' Good Mileage Club is North America's premier walking/running program for schools. Last year 2.5+ million children in 10,000+ schools logged almost 30 million miles thereby reducing playground hassles, increasing kids' learning readiness and fighting obesity. This program was created by Kelly Gotha with the financial help of the Monroe YMCA and Mercy Hospital.

This lunch hour program is simple to run. Students walk on a 1/4 mile track several times a week. For each 5 miles walked, the child is rewarded with a Toe Token to put on a chain. Once 20 miles is reached a T-shirt is awarded!
